Alexander (Aleco) Christakis was born in Crete in 1937. He moved to the USA in 1956.
Alexander (Aleco) Christakis was born in Crete in 1937, moved to the USA in 1956 to pursue a BA in theoretical physics at Princeton University and a Ph.D. in theoretical nuclear physics at Yale. In 1968 he returned to Greece and joined the architectural firm of [[Doxiadis]]. At the same time, he met Hasan Özbekhan and, together with [[Aurelio Peccei]] and [[Erich Jantsch]], co-founded the [[Club of Rome]]. In the 1970s, he served on the faculties of Yale University, Georgetown University, the University of Athens, the University of Virginia, and George Mason University (as the Director of the [[Center for Interactive Management]] headed by [[John N. Warfield]]). In 1989, he founded his own consultancy firm, CWA Ltd., dedicated to practicing Interactive Management principles. Around 2015, he settled in Crete.
